This five-teaching series "Passion:The Power of the Dream" is based upon the life of Joseph. A young man who was highly favored and loved by his father, Joseph had a dream about the day when he would attain a place of prominence within the family and his brothers would bow down before him. Angered by jealousy because of the father’s preferential treatment and Joseph’s presumptuous dream, the brothers plotted the young man’s destruction. Joseph was sold to a band of traveling merchants who traded him to a wealthy ruler in Egypt.
Joseph’s misfortune was just the beginning of his dream coming true. This five-teaching series relates the life of Joseph to the stages of a seed described in Mark 4:26-29.
Stage #1 Seed stage,when all the potential of the dream is locked up in the seed
Stage #2: Seed dying stage,when all visible evidence of the dream is hidden or covered below the surface
Stage #3: Blade stage, when evidence of the dream begins to be seen but is yet immature
Stage #4: Ear stage,when the dream has grown to the place where others can see and identify it
Stage #5: Full fruit stage, when the dream produces that which provides for others
