Give Us A King

"Give Us A King" presents God's perspective of government including the most basic form, which is self-government. Those who lack self-government, fear the consequences of responsibility, or lack faith that God will fulfill His role as righteous King will seek to vote for a political system that promises cradle to grace favors. Israel cried out for any earthly king many times in their history in spite of God's warnings (I Samuel 8). This study is a call for the church to become knowledgeable to God's assigned role of civil government and to become active in restoring it to its Biblical boundaries.
